Why am I doing this?

As I launch into this life changing event it has become apparent to me that everything I have done and will do concerning the replacement of my knee should be written down so that I can look back and remember it. I doubt that anyone else will want to read about this, and that is OK, it is something for me to do and I hope it helps to push me a bit to make my recovery quicker and more interesting.
